P!nk’s tear-jerking tribute to Britney Spears – the touching moment stole the show at her latest concert

P!nk recently showed that she’s definitely a girl’s girl after showing support for Britney Spears during her ongoing divorce drama.

During a tour stop in Detroit, Michigan on Wednesday (August 16) as part of her Summer Carnival tour, P!nk made a subtle yet meaningful alteration to the lyrics of her 2001 hit ‘Don’t Let Me Get Me,’ which originally references Britney.

Instead of singing: “Tired of being compared to damn Britney Spears,” P!nk sang, “sweet Britney Spears,” as captured in a video shared on Instagram.

The gesture garnered cheers from P!nk’s fans, who appreciated the display of solidarity, and several supporters voiced their encouragement in the comments section.

One comment read: “Aww that’s the kind of support she needs,” while another fan chimed in: “So awesome, love P!nk even more for doing that!!”

Amid allegations of cheating, it was confirmed this week that Spears, 41, and Asghari, 29, were divorcing after 14 months of marriage, and six years together.

TMZ sources stated on Thursday (August 17) that Asghari was claiming that Britney had engaged in a romantic relationship with one of the male staff members at her home.

According to the tabloid’s sources, Asghari discovered compromising footage of Spears with the staffer, which raised suspicions of infidelity. Asghari – a fitness trainer and actor – claimed that Spears asked another employee to film her naked.

The pop star’s behavior has been described as “fragile and hyper-sexualized,” resulting in risky decisions and potential danger to her own well-being, according to the outlet.

Asghari also accused Spears of physically attacking him while he slept, resulting in a black eye, in addition to the cheating allegations.

Asghari recently addressed the divorce in a statement posted on his Instagram Story.

“After 6 years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together,” he wrote. “We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other and I wish her the best always.”

The statement came a day after Asghari filed for divorce, where he cited “irreconcilable differences” as a reason for their split.

Britney and Asghari were married in June 2022 at her home in Thousand Oaks, California.

The ‘Piece of Me’ singer had previously been married to her childhood friend Jason Alexander for 55 hours in 2004. She later wed her former backup dancer Kevin Federline that same year, with whom she shares two sons. They divorced in 2007.
